Transmute is a data transformation tool. You upload or paste files, define a mapping, and receive transformed output. We are operated by FOR IN SOLUTIONS d.o.o..
When you transform a file, its contents are sent to our server to run the TXL mapping engine. In Zero Data Retention mode, your file data is processed in-memory and is not written to a database or durable storage. Once the response is returned, the data is discarded.
If you are not using Zero Data Retention mode, intermediate results may be held temporarily to support error-review workflows (such as opening a failed row in the Data Editor). This temporary state is scoped to your session and is not shared with other users.
We do not train AI models on your file contents.
When you use AI-assisted mapping or bring your own AI key, your key is sent in the request to the AI provider you selected (for example, Anthropic or OpenAI). We do not log, store, or have access to your API key after the request completes. We recommend using scoped or project-specific keys rather than organization-level credentials.
When Transmute's own AI is used (if available), your schema and a sample of your data are sent to our AI provider under a data processing agreement that prohibits training on customer data.
We may collect basic, non-identifying usage metrics — such as the number of transforms run, file formats used, and error rates. This helps us understand which features are working and where to focus improvement. We do not collect the contents of your files as part of telemetry.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Our website (not the transformation engine) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — page views, referrers, and general location and device type. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless: it does not use cookies or any persistent client-side identifier, and does not track you across other websites. No personal data is collected, and this analytics does not see or process the files or data you transform.
We use browser storage (localStorage or sessionStorage) to hold your session state, recent transforms, and editor preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set, and our analytics does not use cookies either — so there is no cookie consent banner on this site.
If you contact us by email or through a form, we retain that correspondence to respond to you. We do not share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to deliver the response.
In Zero Data Retention mode: file data is not persisted beyond the lifetime of the HTTP request.
Session state and editor preferences stored in your browser are under your control and can be cleared at any time.
If you contact us, we retain that correspondence for as long as it is relevant.
Because Transmute does not require an account, we hold no persistent personal profile tied to you. If you believe we hold personal data about you and wish to inquire about access or deletion, contact us at privacy@transmute.online.
